Why locking hubs
Freewheeling is the whole point.
- Unlock the hubs and the front wheels freewheel. The axle shafts, differential, and front driveshaft stop turning. Less heat. Less wear. Quieter. That’s what people mean by freewheeling — not a plastic locker that just looks the part.
- Wayne’s line: just slide on. Super simple. Complete buggy change on 2000–2008 Rams. 3–6 MPG better on the 2500 / 3500 / 4500 / 5500. Customer film of a 2013 Ram 2500: six miles per gallon.
- Jeep Wrangler: modern free-spin hubs, slide-off / slide-on, 4340 stub and an HK needle so the shaft actually freewheels — not a look-alike for the trail parking lot. Super simple. He ships them by the batch.
- Chevy / GMC 8-lug and IFS — Suburban, 2500, 3500 dually: factory GM hub, Warn Dana 44 locker, a 19-spline adapter on the stub already in the truck. He is the one sending these to Australia.
- Chrysler never built a Ram hub. Ford already had. Timken greaseable unit-bearing — not Motorcraft. Grease them through the ABS port. Ford and Dodge splines do not match, so there is a Ram Man gear on the stub.

Wayne
The one who answers the phone
Wayne is the one with the deep knowledge — installs, odd axles, the brake problem another shop sent back. He is often already on the phone. Leave the year, make, model, and a short question. He calls back, usually inside 24 hours.
Stuck mid-install? He will often shoot a short custom video just for you. Very few people in this business still do that.
How to reach himQuote kits
We invoice. We do not guess.
Anything without a Buy Now button is a quote. Click it and you land on this form — name, year, make, model. That is not a bill. You are not stuck with anything.
We check that we have the kit. Hubs: locker, stub shaft, single or dually. Brakes: the right year, power or manual, the proper disc kit — not a guess off a picture. If we have it, we email a PayPal payment request to info@therammaninc.com. That invoice is optional. Pay it if you want the kit. Delete it if you don’t. Nothing is owed until you click pay.
Call (817) 429-0105, or text photos to (817) 691-5996. Same inbox either way.
